Lawn Mowing

There are many choices in today's grounds maintenance market. We at Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC strive to take our maintenance program one step further. Mowing at the proper height is the single most important step in a beautiful lawn. We closely monitor the conditions and adjust mower height specifically for your yard. Included in our weekly lawn mowing service we will remove any fallen sticks/branches, trim around beds, driveways, sidewalks etc., and blow off driveways, sidewalks, decks and patios leaving your yard well manicured and ready for you to enjoy!

Spring Clean-up

Early spring is the best time to get a jump start on building or maintaining a healthy, green lawn. Let us power de-thatch the grass and remove all foreign debris from your lawn, flower beds, and grounds. Winter snow and ice as well as control methods can ruin the edges of your lawn and damage some plants. By thoroughly cleaning the lawns surface as well as any damaged branches from tress and shrubs, this sets the stage for a lawn and landscape that is able to breath, allow nutrients and water to reach down into the roots and be less susceptible to disease and harmful pests.

Fall Clean-up

To some a blanket of autumn leaves is a very pretty sight. To others it is simply a nuisance. Either way, Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC will make short work of it. Our crews will thoroughly clean flower beds, shrubs, lawn area and your entire property free of leaves. During the process we will place them in a designated area of your choosing, prepare them for curbside pick-up, or you may choose to have us vacuum collect them and disposed of at the recycling center where they will be composted.

Garden Maintenance

All planting and tree beds will be weeded at regular intervals by either chemical or mechanical means. Soil beds will be cultivated and edged as needed. Perennials and annuals will be maintained and deadheaded as needed. After the first frost annuals will be removed and perennials will be cut down to the proper length before winter.

Pruning

Our Staff is fully trained to properly prune and maintain all the shrubs and ornamental trees in your landscape. We pay special attention to "specimen" plants and insure only the proper techniques and tools are used. We also constantly maintain our tools to insure no damage occurs by a dull cut or a disease is transferred from one plant to the next.

Snow Removal

In the winter, Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC switches to our sister company Thomas-Hill Snow Removal, LLC. Our crews will service all of your commercial and residential needs with the same level of expertise as in the summer. We take extra care and use special products and practices in an effort to minimize our environmental impact, while providing safe passage through wintery conditions.

Lawncare & Ornamental Programs

Fertilizing and Weed Control

Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC offers a variety of lawn care management programs. We start by taking a soil sample to see what the composition of the soil is, pH level and other nutrient content is. We will then survey that landscape to see what pests or weeds are present and customize a program using IPM* (Integrated Pest Management) specifically tailored to the needs of the lawn and your budget. During each treatment we monitor your yard for any potential problems occurring and alert you so together we can address them before they become a larger issue.

Insect and Disease Control

Insects and disease can damage the beauty of your lawn and precious landscape overnight! If you notice any brown patchy areas, or black spots on your grass blades, wilted or missing leaves on your shrubs, chances are you are experiencing some type of insect and/or disease damage. Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC has the tools and knowledge to restore your lawn and landscape to health by treating and controlling the insects and disease attacking it quickly.

Organic Programs

If an organic program best suits your needs we have several options to choose from. From organic fertilizers, organic pest control products, to using IPM (Integrated Pest Management) to produce a healthy green lawn. We use many of the same practices as the traditional methods only with all natural organic products.

Ornamental Tree and Shrub Care

Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC offers ornamental tree and shrub care services. We inspect and provide a general health evaluation of ornamental trees and shrubs. We monitor them for signs of insects or disease during our regular visits as well as routine checks of the property between treatment visits. We also ensure that your ornamental trees and shrubs are getting the proper nutrients they need. Deep root feedings, drip line granular feedings, slow release root spikes and spraying are the most common methods of treatments.

Landscape Design

Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC designers and associates work with our clients from start to finish, ensuring that the installation of your landscape design is completed properly and to your full satisfaction. We have designed and installed hundreds of landscape and hardscape projects in Connecticut. We use the latest in design software allowing us to take a picture of your property and incorporate our design to show what the completed project will look like with a detailed list of materials and costs.

Landscape Installation

If it is from a design of ours, to one of your own our trained crews will have you're job done quickly and precisely to leave you more time to enjoy your beautiful new landscape. We install throughout the growing season planting a wide variety of plants from all types of annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees. Larger jobs that may require multiple days of working time, our crews will maintain a neat jobsite during working hours and clean the site at the end of each day to minimize your inconvenience.

Hardscape Installations

Our Hardscape installers are certified and have many years of experience to ensure you total satisfaction in your new patio, wall, walkway, driveway or pond. We use proven methods for your installation as well as a 5 year warranty on all paver installations.

Bark Mulch & Stone Installation

Whether it is part of a new landscape project or a part of routine maintenance, Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC delivers and installs only premium bark mulch and stone. We work with several suppliers to offer you premium bark mulches at competitive prices with no fillers like pallets demolition material or yard waste of any kind.

Lawn Installation & Renovation

Thomas-Hill Lawncare and Landscaping, LLC installs many new lawns and renovates many more each year with great success. We install many varieties of sod and seed to match the conditions, use and your desired look. From top-dressing and seeding a problem area, over-seeding to help create a more robust lawn, installing sod, or seeding a new lawn we will make sure your lawn will be the envy of all your neighbors. Don't be fooled! Hand seeding is still the most proven and inexpensive way to produce a lush green lawn!
